Made of all natural olive wood, care is minimal, requiring only a mild detergent cleaning, and an occasional rubbing with olive oil to maintain the softness of the wood.
The mortar & pestle are hand-crafted, one piece at a time, to assure a perfect fit and a smooth grinding surface. Tunisian olive wood finishing is a craft that has been perfected from many generations of experience. The surface of the wood is smooth and silky to the touch. No two grains will be alike with natural olive wood, due to it's unique, exotic nature.
